Scheduling & Cancellations

Appointments may be conveniently scheduled by reaching out to me through email at meg@mhmtherapy.com, by making a phone call to (617) 319-0271, or by utilizing the link provided here, where you can click on the orange box labeled “Request Appointment.”

For those who choose telehealth sessions, the links are securely sent via Simple Practice, a platform known for its enhanced security features and efficiency as an electronic health record system. Additionally, initial consultations are typically 30 minutes and are offered free of charge. These sessions allow for an opportunity to discuss your needs, while subsequent therapy sessions will incur a fee that is charged at the time of service, based on the specific therapy provided during those sessions.

We know that life happens, and sometimes you’re unable to make your scheduled appointment. If clients provide at least 48 hours of notice for cancellation prior to their appointment, the appointment can often be conveniently rescheduled within a period of 4 business days, or cancelled without a fee. However, clients who provide less than 48 hours of notice may unfortunately be charged in full for the reserved appointment time.

Billing & Insurance

My rate of service varies from $190 to $230 per session, depending on the specific manner and duration of our work together.

It is important to note that I am not an in-network provider with any insurance company, and I do not participate directly with managed care companies. However, my services are eligible for reimbursement as an out-of-network provider.

I’ve partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

Mentaya is perfect if you:

• Have out-of-network benefits

• Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance

• Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement

• Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!

Here's how it works:

2. Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.

3. Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.

4. You get reimbursed by insurance!

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required,

dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.

It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

For your convenience, I will provide a superbill that displays all necessary information required for insurance reimbursement, as often as requested. Superbills may be made available on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis, depending on client preferences and needs.
